Kindergarten students explored the concepts of leaves, collage and organic shapes this autumn.
Students continued to develop their motor and cutting skills as they cut out organic leaf shapes.
Students focused on cutting apart the shapes and following the organic lines of the leaves.
Kindergarteners were also introduced to complementary colors as they used the colors opposite of each other on the color wheel for the leaves and background of their collage.
This was a great project for students to be introduced to many different art concepts.
The final step was to arrange and glue their leaves into a collage.
The kindergarteners were excited to take home their leaf collages.
