Kindergarten students have recently explored the star shape.
Students were given star shapes of various sizes to cut out.
This required a lot of concentration from the students to focus on the shape and cutting around the line of the shape.
Students build their motor skills that are used in every skill in their schooling.
The next step was to glue and arrange their stars on a field of black construction paper.
Everyone had to learn control in using the glue bottle, focusing on small drops of glue.
Students learned many skills with this project and were introduced to the Starry Night painting by Vincent van Gogh.
This was a great project to introduce kindergarteners to many new art concepts and skills.
Here are a few examples of their projects.
