Fourth grade students completed their paintings of character words.
After adding finishing touches to their letter paintings, each group discussed their work.
The final step was to add a coat of gloss to their canvas.
Students really enjoyed working cooperatively on this project.
Each class viewed their work at the end of the project.
Everyone participated in a review of their work and the creative process.
Students were proud of the fact their work will be on view in the building for all to see.

Sixth grade students created paper flowers for Mother’s Day this year.
At the beginning of this project students were not sure if they would like it, some of them feeling they may be too old for this type of a project.
By the end of this studio class everyone was really focused and enjoyed the project.
This flower building required the students to follow directions and use their hands to fold and mold a medium-size flower.
This project required the students to focus their efforts as they used their motor skills with this basic paper craft project.
Students were happy with their efforts at the end of art class.
Many colorful flowers were created for Mother’s Day!
Most of the elementary art students participated in creating some type card for Mother’s Day this year.
Kindergarten students used colored pencils to create line pattern with their Mother’s Day card.
First graders used scissors and crayons to create a pop-out card for their moms.
Second grade students created a cut out Mom card.
Third grade students created an M-shaped card for Mother’s Day.
Everyone concentrated on creating the perfect card for Mom!
All of the students incorporated learned skills and some new ones to create a card filled with design elements.
I’m sure every mom was thrilled with their uniquely created card for Mother’s Day!
Kindergarten and first grade students completed their study of color by creating watercolor flowers.
The first step was to add color and line to their flower shapes with crayon.
Some students used line to outline their shape.
Others filled in their flowers with lines and shapes.
Everyone enjoyed the process of adding color and design to their flowers.
Next everyone added watercolor paint.
Students learned to add water and allow the water and paint to mix.
Some students outlined their flower with a pattern.
Everyone had a unique idea on how to incorporate the watercolor into their flower.
Everyone enjoyed exploring this new medium.
